Solstice Celebrations
Events to celebrate the summer solstice will be held tomorrow through Sunday at Arium, 31 Little West 12th Street (Washington Street). There will be guitar music tomorrow starting at 7 p.m.; a free screening of the film "Casablanca" on Friday at 9 p.m.; readings from Shakespeare on Saturday starting at 7 p.m.; and a recital of music of old New York on Sunday starting at 5 p.m. Admission to the Thursday, Friday and Saturday programs is free; food and drink are extra. Tastes From Afar

Taking a Break
For the past 12 years, Atef Boulaabi and her company, SOS Chefs, have supplied fresh exotic mushrooms, truffles, spices, foie gras, teas and other delicacies to chefs and home cooks who frequent her retail shop, Truffette, 104 Avenue B (Sixth Street). Now, she has announced that she will take a break to travel, find new sources and have a baby, so she will close the shop for six months. There is still time to stock up: the closing date is July 1.
